Common Questions
Please note that we run our very popular public Blue Mountains tour but also private tours.
Where is the pickup location in Sydney for the public Blue Mountains?
812 George Street Haymarket. As a reference point this is in front of St Laurence church on George Street.
For our popular Blue Mountains public tour this is 720am for a 730am departure. Return approximately 510pm-540pm depending on variables.
Do you offer hotel pickup or other area pickup for the public Blue Mountains tour?
We used to however we removed this. We concluded that it is better to have our guests spending more time up in the Blue Mountains itself rather than having you sitting on the bus driving the city congestion in the morning and again in the evening. We spend that additional time in the Blue Mountains.Â
Scenic World cable car, wildlife parks and the return ferry
Private Blue Mountains tours we are flexible to your desires. Additional Fees and charges
Public Blue Mountains. We used to include these attractions however to maximise your time in the nature of the Blue Mountains we replaced these locations with more nature, views and time in the Blue Mountains. Our decision to swap Scenic World with the Wentworth Falls waterfall walk was a success. If you are low on time then consider a competing tour including the zoo however it is best to have a more relaxed experience at Taronga Zoo or another zoo in Australia on another day. The return ferry is not recommended. Get a public ferry to/from Manly beach instead, way more worth it. Our affordable prices reflects the savings made by not attending these attractions. Many tours request your payment on tour.
Do I have to bring a printed copy of my booking?
No need to bring anything as we have your name and booking on our system. Bring a smile…you are on a holiday
What to wear and bring?
Enlosed walking shoes (do not need hiking boots). Clothing to match the weather conditions and your personal needs. Refillable water bottle. Sunscreen, hat and sunnies may be a thought. You are welcome to nibble on snacks on the bus though please use the bins.Â
Weather checks
For our Blue Mountains please search Katoomba weather on Google opposed to Blue Mountains weather.Â
I am unsure if I or my children fall into the age bracket for the public Blue Mountains
There is no age guidlines for our private tours. For our public Blue Mountains we do advertise 14 years and older though we can have some minor flexibility on request. We try to keep a more flowing tour and request that those with younger children choose one of the other great Blue Mountains options available. Our public Blue Mountains tour is an active tour, if you struggle with basic walking then please do go with another tour option or ask us for more information.
I am unsure of the hike on the public Blue Mountains tour
This hike that we have chosen is the highest review nature hike in the Blue Mountains that is under 3.5 hours. The Wentworth Falls nature walk is approximately 90+ minutes. There is a hard part which is optional for the individual to skip. It happens often. If you want more information please reach out as we have a detailed description that we can share over.
Can I bring luggage on the public Blue Mountains tour?
Small backpacks are fine. We may be able to help with a medium suitcase or two at most per bus. We do not have luggage lockers as we use minibuses. There is a luggage storage facility a few minutes walk away nearby Platform 1 at Central Train Station.
Is lunch included?
Yes. We do prefer to keep your experience as streamlined as possible. Fresh made continental roll is made as we head to the Blue Mountains. Please refer to the pictures to see the lunch.Â
*Private tours. Lunch options to be discussed.
Dietary Requests
On our private tours this will be discussed in advance. For our public Blue Mountains we do run through the dietary requests together on the bus. Our included lunch option is generally a fresh locally made continental roll. Vegetarian, vegan, coeliac, nut free, dairy free are all not a problem. Please reach out if you have concerns.Â
